Brahms: The Boy II...a short movie review for people with short attention spans!
Spoilers Possible!!

Director
William Brent Bell is responsible for directing the movies The Devil Inside and the original The Boy.

Starring

Katie Holmes (Logan Lucky), Owain Yeoman (The Belko Experiment), Christopher Convery (The Girl in the Spider's Web), Ralph Ineson (Ready Player One), and Anjali Jay (Supergirl: TV Series)

Plot

After a family moves into the Heelshire Mansion, their young son soon makes friends with a life like doll names Brahms.

What I Think

A mother and son alone in their London flat are getting ready for bed. They go to sleep but shortly after there is a noise from downstairs. Mom goes down to see if dad has gotten back from work only to be viciously assaulted by robbers in front of her son.

This traumatic event scares the son so badly that he becomes a mute and the family struggles to recover from this act. For fear of more break ins the family eventually makes the decision to move out to the country.

Once they reach the home that they will be staying at, the family goes for a nice leisurely stroll in the woods that surround the cottage. While on the path their son wanders off on his own and finds a small hand sticking out of the ground.

He proceeds to dig up the mini grave and discovers an old porcelain doll in very nice clothes buried shallow. This doll is about to change the dynamic of this home but not for the better.
As with the first chapter of "The Boy" the doll is super creepy. Things that go bump in the night happen in both movies as well as disembodied whispers and the doll seeming to move on its own. With a heavy dose of holy hell we are guided through a nonstop amount of paranoia and uneasiness as mom goes slightly crazy because of the doll and her son.

In the end, evil is defeated and the family lives happily ever after...or do they?

If you enjoy the paranormal, demonic possession, thrillers, or creepy ass dolls then this is one for a good ole date movie night.

I give this film ⭐⭐⭐½ of 5 stars.
