Plot

When Cecilia's abusive ex takes his own life and leaves her is fortune, she suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of coincidences turns lethal, Cecilia works to prove that she is being hunted by somebody that nobody can see.

What I Think
We begin with what looks like a woman trying to escape an abusive relationship by sneaking out of a very luxurious home with plenty of security measures in the way. She does escape but just barely.

Two weeks later she is informed that her husband, who she has been hiding out from, has committed suicide and is dead. With the news comes a last will and testament that names her as the sole beneficiary of a five million dollar fortune that she gets to keep as long as she doesn't get into any legal trouble.

Shortly after this news she starts to experience, almost paranormal, activity in the house she has been staying in. Things have been moving by themselves, sounds are being heard, and unexplainable happenings are being experienced but only by her.

The people who own the home don't believe here and her sister is also unable to comprehend what is going on with her. Everyone starts to think she is crazy, so much so that she is committed to a mental institution.
This movie offers plenty of suspense, thrills, and chills. The title says it all...The Invisible Man, but what it doesn't say is how he becomes the Invisible Man. In the previous iterations of this story, the mad professor/scientist takes a chemical concoction that causes him to become invisible, a feat that is irreversible. This transformation is definitely for this century.

As this movie goes through the motions you get the glimpse into how the husband becomes invisible and keep in mind that there is a twist or two in the film.

This film was entertaining, the story was well adapted, and the suspense gave me a couple of well deserved jump scares.

I give this movie a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐ of 5 stars.
