Marcus and Mike have to confront new issues (career changes and midlife crises), as they join the newly created elite team AMMO of the Miami police department to take down the ruthless Armando Armas, the vicious leader of a Miami drug cartel.
What I think
The return of out heroes Mike Lowery (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) is introduced with a high speed ride in a blue Porche down the streets of Miami. Twists, turns, and near misses with busses, motorcycles, buildings, and pedestrians; you know the typical action star entrance.
While all of this is going on, a woman, known as the "Bruja", in a Mexican Prison is plotting her escape and rise to power that involves one of our heroes. Will this effect the futures of our Bad Boys? Your going to have to check it out and see for yourself. There was drama, action, comedy, more action, more comedy, and yes more drama. The movie kept a decent pace with laughs every 5 minutes or so and drama every 30ish. The action scenes weren't just big and bold but the way the music was used to emphasize the action scenes were reminiscent of films like The Dark Knight or The Avengers. You had explosions, gun battles, high speed chases, and even more explosions. Then you had the touching scenes where tears are shed and hearts break. I also appreciate the call back to the earlier films by using original actors and building on their stories as well.
"I'm going to heal this man's soul with my heart." The plot was well thought out and had a few curve balls added in to throw off the story a bit but it did blend in nicely, bringing everything together. If you have seen Bad Boys and Bad Boys 2 then you know what you are getting in to. This is a nice addition to the series and was left open to have either a spin off or another movie. Stay for the additional scenes before the end credits begin. I give this film ⭐⭐⭐⭐ of 5 stars! Poster, Pictures, and Plot courtesy of IMDB
