Movie Review: 3 Days to Kill

3 Days to Kill … a short movie review for those with short attention spans.
Warning: Possible Spoilers!

When an aging CIA agent, Kevin Costner, gets the news that he is dying and has only a little bit of time left he decides to reconnect with his daughter, Hailey Steinfeld, who he has a rocky relationship with.  While reconnecting with his daughter he is hired by a CIA Agent, Amber Heard, to find and kill a man that he was unable to kill before getting retired from the Agency.  His reward will be an experimental cure for his disease.  What could go wrong?

If you take away the killing and action from the movie then you are left with a heartfelt movie about a man trying to make things right with not only his daughter but also his ex-wife.  He makes dinner, takes them out, and basically does all the things he should have done when they were a family.

If you take away the dramatic family man part of the movie then you have a hard charging, strong, and action packed movie that does deliver some really good entertainment.

Director, McG, did a great job of balancing out the drama and action while creating a decent story line that made sense and pulled at some heart strings.  Some of the plot was a bit unbelievable but it is a movie after all.

As always, if you like movies that are part The Notebook and part Mission Impossible then you might be ready for 3 Days to Kill.

I give this movie ⭐⭐⭐¾ of 5 stars.
