Movie Review: Halloween (2018)

Halloween (2018) … a short movie review for those with short attention spans.
Warning: Possible Spoilers!

The story of Michael Meyers has terrified many for over 4 decades and this iteration brings it back to where it all started.  Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode, this time as a hermit grandmother living off the grid, estranged from her daughter and family.  She is biding her time waiting for the return of Michael Myers.  The time has come.

The story is from the angle of a podcast dedicated to killers, Michael is the subject and still as deadly and violent as he was 40 years ago.  Great kills, great action, and even great laughs, but the finale was a bit of a let down.

The Blumhouse production company and Producer John Carpenter do a great job of making sure the suspense is ever present.  Director David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express) also did a great job of staying true to the character and mood of the original.

As always, if you are not a fan of gruesome murder, bloody gore, or extreme violence then you may want to check out another movie on Netflix.

I give this movie ⭐⭐⭐⭐of 5 stars.
