Plot
Ray Garrison, a slain soldier, is reanimated with superpowers.

What I Think
We begin with a military operation to save a hostage in Kenya, Ray Garrison, is a one man wrecking crew that goes into a terrorist hideout, guns blazing, without any real intel and lays waste to a bunch of tangos. During the operation he sustains a bullet wound but it is not life threatening, he does save the hostage by the way.

After the rescue, him and his team return to Italy for their downtime and he goes back to his wife. They get frisky and do "adult" things then retire for the night. The next morning his wife goes out to pick up some groceries but something doesn't feel right.
Ray is abducted by a person who wants to know how he knew the location of the terrorists. The man is using Ray's wife way to make him talk but after a little bit of interrogation the man doesn't believe that Ray is ignorant of where he got his intel and kills his wife. Then after a short back and forth Ray is also killed.

Fast forward a short time and we find that Ray has been resurrected and now has super powers. He is introduced to a small team of super soldiers that are enhanced like he is, all with their own special abilities.
Although he had been resurrected his memory was not restored so he was lost knowing only that he was a soldier. Then it happens. His memory comes back and revenge is the only thing on his mind. With his new abilities he tracks down the man who killed his wife and kills everyone associated with him. Then its over...or is it?

The rest of the movie concentrates on a long list of betrayals, high intensity action scenes, and a lot of screaming from Vin Diesel. The problems in the movie are that there are similarities to Spider-man with the villains, some of the CGI is lack luster but for the most part when he regenerates it is pretty cool, and the movie as a whole is not the greatest but it does have its moments.

Even with all of the all the bad thing there is still a decent story with some good action even though it is predictable. The dialog is not all that hot either.

If you like some pulse pounding action, unbelievable military covert operations, and some serious Science Fiction then you might enjoy this movie.

I give this film ⭐⭐⭐ of 5 stars.
