The Plot
In the near future, a drone pilot sent into a war zone finds himself paired with a top-secret android officer on a mission to stop a nuclear attack.
The Rundown
A young UAV pilot, Lt. Harp, disobeys a direct order. In lieu of a court martial he is sent to a warzone as punishment. His mission while he is there is to assist in locating a terrorist, delivering vaccines, and stopping a nuclear attack. Lt. Harp must follow his commanding officer, which is an android, to fulfill peace keeping and rescue missions.
The first patrol does not go as planned. Lt. Harp wasn't ready for this. From snipers, spies, and shootouts this is not what he expected. Although Lt Harp feels that he must keep his morality he will soon find that sometimes good people have to do bad things for good to prevail.
This movie comes in 2 acts. The first act is a story of an Air Force Lt who disgraced himself and needs to build himself back up. The second act is about a sentient being that wants to destroy the United States. Both stories contain the same story line, but one is of redemption and the other is of freedom. This movie is going to be different things to different people. You may have the hardcore dude that will side with our sentient being while others will side with our human counterpart. Either way the story unfolds in a split for me personally. It is a good movie with a good concept, but it falls short in some areas.
The graphics were really good, the ideology that robots would be sent to war instead of humans is a better future for us in my opinion. If you are a fan of Science Fiction, Wargames, or AI then this movie may be your cup of tea.
I am giving this film 3.5 out of 5 stars.
