Plot
A newly released prisoner is forced by the leaders of his gang to orchestrate a major crime with a brutal rival gang on the streets of Southern California.

What I Think
We begin with a violent murder on the final day of an inmates time in prison. This isn't just any prisoner...this is a card carrying member of the baddest White Power prison gang. It wasn't always like this though.

Before going to prison our main character used to be a high stakes lawyer who, while under the influence of alcohol, inadvertently killed another person in a traffic accident. He knew the only way he was going to survive his time in prison was to earn the respect and protection of the gang.
Once he leaves the prison he is given a mission by his gang to broker a deal between another gang to move a large shipment of guns and earn a fat paycheck. In doing so he would have to forget about his family completely because what he was about to do could cost them their lives.

This decision to follow this destiny has sent him down a path of murder, drugs, gun running, and power that would forever change his and his families life.
The themes in this movie are quite heavy and the amount of blood involved is not for the faint of heart. This movie shows the seedier side of life and attacks the social norms that people that are not criminals would be highly uncomfortable with.

I thought the story was good and interesting and the subject matter, although unsettling at times, was very well written and explores the prison system as a whole by expressing a social commentary of sorts.

I give this movie ⭐⭐⭐ of 5 stars.
