Plot
A simple act of kindness always sparks another, even in a frozen, faraway place. When Smeerensburg's new postman, Jesper, befriends toy maker Klaus, their gifts melt an age old feud and deliver a sleigh full of holiday traditions.

What I Think
We begin with the story of a young man, Jesper, who is privileged, in that his father is the Post Master General and he feels that he does not need to work.  His father gives him jobs in the Post Office and he blows it by doing everything in his power to be the worst employee ever.

After countless chances and failures, Jesper's father punishes him by cutting him off of all money and other luxuries.  He also forced him to be the lone postman in a very small, dreary island, that is torn apart by a long standing feud, much like the Hatfield's and McCoy's.

Once there, he realizes that he is not wanted in the community but needs them to use the post office in order for him to prove to his father that he deserves everything that he lost.  In the attempt to get mail to be sent he encounters a woodsman who is larger than a normal person.  This meeting will change Jesper and his path.
The story of Klaus is really the beginning of how the Legend of how Santa Claus became what it is today.  From a lone woodsman toy maker to world wide phenomenon and spreader of goodwill and peace.  All because of a postman.

This was a fantastic story and very touching because you can trace the building of better people to one act of kindness that leads to another and another.  It is a story of hope that if we as human beings can be better people then maybe...just maybe...we can change the direction of our world.  Either way, a great story with great animation, drama, and humor.

I give this movie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ of 5 stars.
