Movie Review: How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World … A short movie review for people with short attention spans.
Spoilers Possible!!!

Directed by: Dean DeBlois

Starring: Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, F. Murray Abraham, Craig Ferguson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Kristen Wiig, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, and Justin Rupple

Plot: When Hiccup discovers Toothless isn't the only Night Fury, he must seek "The Hidden World", a secret Dragon Utopia before a hired tyrant named Grimmel finds it first.

What I Think: As we start the movie, Hiccup and company are on a mission to free dragons from trappers on the sea. He has done so many times and because of this Berk is overflowing with dragons. The trappers are getting tired of getting the dragons taken from them and decide to hire a person to "take care" of Hiccup and his partners in crime.

The villian Grimmel, played by F. Murray Abraham, is portrayed as a true bad guy. You automatically hate him for being what he is, a dragon slayer. He has a high intelligence, a calm demeanor, and the skills of a hunter. Grimmel is resourceful and utilizes a female Night Fury, AKA Light Fury, to distract toothless. This act automatically changes the dynamic between Hiccup and Toothless.

The rest of the movie has Berk moving, the whole town not just the people, and the discovery of the Hidden World where dragons could live in peace.

This movie had me laughing, crying, and yelling all at the same time. If I would have watched it with my kiddos it would have probably been a bit more tame.

Other than that, great movie with a fantastic story and a fitting end to a monumental series.
If you have kids, this is a great movie and an emotional rollercoaster. The animation was spectacular and comedy involved was very funny.

I give this movie a ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ of 5 stars.
